Bridget Hall Design
Bridget grew up in Wānaka surrounded by the stunning Southern Alps. She went on to travel the mountainous world of competitive skiing in Europe and North America as a member of the New Zealand Freestyle ski team. "I have been immersed in the alpine environment and lifestyle which has captivated me and strongly influences my art."
After retiring from competitive skiing Bridget went on to become Art Director and Graphic Designer for New Zealand Snowboarder, New Zealand Skier and New Zealand Skateboarder magazines for 10 years, and is an Arts degree graduate from Massey University. Bridget also has a post graduate diploma in teaching.
"I have been fortunate to be able to combine my love creating art and my experience as a graphic designer to work as a full-time artist since 2013. The medium I most use is digital art but I also enjoy acrylic on canvas or wood painting. My art provokes a sense of connection between person and place. That emotional tie we have with a place that has inspired us or holds treasured memories. The places we go and experiences we have enhance, uplift and alter our lives immeasurably. The intention is that when you look at this art on your wall you are reminded of that feeling."
